A FEW THINGS TO DO ON WAIHEKE ISLAND

• Swimming, relaxing or walking on the many stunning beaches - (if you're lucky you may see dolphins or orcas)

• Explore some of Waiheke's walkways with their breathtaking views, expansive reserves and fabulous beaches

• Hire a scooter, bicycle or car and explore the many bays, inlets and beaches (don't forget your snorkelling gear)

• Visit some of the fabulous vineyards for wine tasting, lunch or dinner

• Charter a yacht or take a fishing charter and discover the Hauraki Gulf

• Kayak around the bays and inlets (this is a tranquil way to discover the beauty of Waiheke)

• In Oneroa you can visit the community arts centre, cinema, theatre, information centre, cafes, restaurants and boutique craft shops

• Have a round of golf or a few games of tennis

• Try your hand at archery or laser clay bird shooting at 'Wild on Waiheke'

• Visit Ostend Market. This is held every Saturday from 8am til 1pm, It's worth a look for the eclectic mix of people, local produce, arts and crafts, homemade foods, olives, oysters, jewellery, second hand goods and more...
